January 10, 11 & 12 – Reiki with Lauren Adamczyk

Reiki Level 1 is the class that opens your 3rd eye, and all of your energy channels, to begin channeling the Reiki energy. In this class you will:
Learn how to clear the energy around yourself and your home
Discuss what Reiki is and its origins
Receive an attunement which will allow you to channel the Reiki energy yourself
Learn Japanese Reiki Techniques practiced by the founder of Reiki, Dr. Mikao Usui
Discover how you experience energy through meditation and channeling the Reiki energy
Learn all of the hand positions for giving a Reiki treatment

Reiki Level 2 builds upon Level 1 by attuning you to the sacred Reiki symbols, which alter the energy slightly to allow for more specific uses. This is the level that is recommended to practice Reiki professionally. In this class you will:

  • Learn about 3 of the Reiki symbols. One is used for increasing the power of the Reiki energy, another for mental and emotional healing, and the third is for sending Reiki across distance
  • Become attuned to these 3 Reiki symbols and that energies that attach to them
  • Practice using the Reiki symbols within a Reiki treatment
  • Discover the basics of creating a successful Reiki practice
  • Learn how to send Reiki to family, friends, and loved ones no matter where they are in the world

January 31, Feb 1 & 2nd – Thai Foot Massage

Thai Foot Massage uses the ancient art of reflexology to provide a relaxing, and rejuvenating experience that heals the mind, body, and soul. Thai Foot Massage techniques detoxify and purify the body, also helps to relieve stress and tension, decrease fatigue, promote good health and restore balance throughout the body. During a Thai Foot Massage, also known as Thai Foot Reflexology, pressure is applied to specific areas of the soles of the feet. In turn, a reflex reaction occurs in another part of the body, which is stimulated by the manipulation of a specific parts of the foot.

Feb 21, 22 & 23 – Hot Stones

In this workshop you will learn the full body sequence of LaStone Therapy”. Heated smooth, flat stones are placed on key points on the body. The massage therapist also holds stones and uses them to massage certain areas of the body. The use of hot stones for healing dates back to ancient times. Hot Stone massage is an important skill, most spas and resorts offer it on their menus.

Lomi Lomi

This year our Lomi workshop will be taught by Kate Brenton, A’laka’i (senior student) in the Pa Ola Hawai’i lineage of lomilomi. With Kate’s guidance, the Golden Lotus Lomi workshop will bring to you bodywork techniques to bring the body and mind to balance whether you are a practitioner or student our program or simply want to lighten life’s weight off someone you love. With plenty of hands on training ( focusing on the unique stretching routine of Pa Ola Hawai’i ) each participant will leave with an intact protocol to fold into their practice or share with friends. We will also discuss cultural philosophy and mindset of lomilomi so we may practice with authenticity and reverence for the Hawaiian culture.

April 10, 11 & 12 – Dynamic Deep Tissue

Dynamic Deep Tissue Massage is a fluid interplay between direct pressure, movement and breath. These
components are coupled with the intention of enlivening the body and reorganizing holding tendencies. This class is designed to give participants tools for working with deep levels of contact. Students develop sensitivity and perception as they learn to work with greater precision and effectiveness. There is a strong emphasis on body mechanics and appropriate technique as well as the dynamics of working more deeply with clients

May 8, 9 & 10 Thai Yoga Massage

Thai massage is called Thai yoga massage, because the therapist uses his or her hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches. Many people say Thai massage is like doing yoga without any work.. Muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure are also used during treatment.
